Hi, I’m Kristen, mom, maker, and the hands (and heart) behind every piece you see here. 💜

Purple Peppermint Co isn’t just a shop to me; it’s something I built in the middle of real life. The messy, loud, beautiful, overwhelming kind. I have two daughters in two very different seasons. One stepping into her own independence, and one who still believes my lap is the safest place in the world. Somewhere between therapy appointments, snack breaks, and late-night crocheting, this little cozy corner of the internet came back to life.

Our Story

Purple Peppermint Co was created back in 2021 with a handcrafted dream and a whole lot of heart. Life got heavy, seasons shifted, and that dream quietly got set aside.

Then in March of 2025, I picked up a hook and a skein of yarn to calm my overwhelmed mom brain, and something changed. What started as a way to breathe again, to feel steady in my own hands, slowly became a reminder of who I was outside of just surviving the day.

Little by little, Purple Peppermint Co found its way back, not as a perfect, polished business, but as something real. Something built in small moments, on tired nights, and in the spaces between caring for everyone else.

Handmade with Care

Every piece in my shop is handmade by me. No factories. No mass production. Just yarn, a hook, music playing in the background (usually something from the 80s or 90s), and a tiny assistant nearby offering very serious creative opinions.

I believe handmade is about more than how something looks; it’s about how it feels when you put it on. Warm. Grounded. A little reminder that someone, somewhere, took the time to make something just for you.
